For those of you who want to be a florist, or just want a really good time learning.

We’re here to get your hands dirty and give it a try.

Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned florist looking to refresh (or refine), we’re your dose of hands-on inspiration; color theory, installation, and what it actually takes to (literally) run an event floral business. You know that dream to just quit your 9-5 and open up an adorable neighborhood floral shop? Let’s make that happen! My courses offer the inside intel of the A-Z to start your own business. Classes run at our Santa Ana studio, or online from anywhere.

Not just the pretty part. The pricing, the profit, the whole enchilada.

I learned the business while running on coffee fumes and trial and (massive) error. You don’t have to.

I didn’t come up through business school. I came up through art, color, sculpture, painting, and then more or less fell into owning a floral business that’s been around since 1972. (Long story. Involves a Craigslist fridge.)

Which means I learned the money side the hard, underpaid, figure-it-out-the-expensive-way route.

Most floral education hands you the pretty part and stops there. Fifteen years and hundreds of weddings in, with work featured in Martha Stewart Weddings and Brides, I’ll give you the pretty part AND the pricing, the profit, the systems, the trade secrets florists guard like dragons.

Community over competition is how I rock. Pull up a chair, I’ll show you the ropes.

Our biggest aha was seeing the client journey in clear stages. Care without chaos. Four bookings in, every client has felt taken care of and delighted in the process.

I had a lot of the pieces. This class gave me the framework to put them together. The templates, the workflows, the spreadsheets, no more going back and forth on pricing. There’s a plan laid out and all I do is plug and play.

Janelle’s authenticity made it easy to confront my doubts as a rookie designer. Her casual teaching style made a daunting thing feel like a weekend with an old friend. Space to ask the questions, take the risks, and start finding my floral identity.
